Data Sources

Last updated: July 19, 2026

This page explains where the data behind Marketaxiom.com generally comes from and how we use it in our research.

Data is an important part of our work, but it is only one part of the research process. It helps us compare markets, identify patterns, test ideas, and build useful tools. It should not be treated as perfect, complete, or a replacement for independent judgment.

1. How We Use Data

Marketaxiom uses data to support research and education.

Our articles, dashboards, reports, stock screens, examples, and premium materials may combine public information, third-party data, manual review, and Python-based calculations.

The goal is to create useful research context, not to provide trading signals or personal investment advice.

2. COT Data

For COT-related research, we may use publicly available Commitments of Traders data and related market positioning information.

COT data can help show how different groups of market participants are positioned. However, it is not a prediction tool by itself. Reports may be delayed, revised, or difficult to interpret without broader market context.

On Marketaxiom, COT analysis is used as one research input among others.

3. Price and Market Data

Charts, dashboards, examples, and market notes may use price data from exchanges, financial platforms, public datasets, APIs, or third-party providers.

This can include prices, volume, returns, volatility, historical price series, and related market indicators.

Different platforms may show different values because of timing, adjustments, data quality, or calculation methods.

4. Company and Fundamental Data

Stock screens and value investing research may use company data such as revenue, earnings, cash flow, debt, margins, valuation ratios, balance sheet figures, and other financial metrics.

This information may come from public filings, financial databases, third-party providers, or our own calculations based on available data.

Fundamental data can change. Companies may restate figures, providers may update their databases, and the same metric may be calculated differently across platforms.

5. Python-Based Research

Some Marketaxiom research is supported by Python scripts, filters, dashboards, models, and automated workflows.

These tools help process data, calculate ratios, rank securities, create charts, and highlight unusual market conditions.

Automation makes research faster and more consistent, but it can still produce mistakes if the input data is wrong, incomplete, outdated, or interpreted incorrectly.

6. Manual Review

Not everything on Marketaxiom is automated.

Some research includes manual review, interpretation, filtering, and editorial judgment.

This can add useful context, but it does not remove the risk of error. Markets are complex, and the same data can often support different conclusions.

7. Third-Party Tools and Services

Marketaxiom may use third-party tools, platforms, APIs, data providers, charting services, hosting services, analytics tools, newsletter tools, payment providers, or other external services.

These services have their own data methods, terms, limitations, availability, and privacy policies.

We are not responsible for the accuracy, reliability, availability, or policies of third-party services.

8. Data Delays, Revisions, and Errors

Market and financial data can be delayed, revised, corrected, or updated after publication.

This applies to price data, COT data, company fundamentals, economic data, third-party datasets, and internally calculated outputs.

Research published on Marketaxiom reflects the information available at the time of publication unless stated otherwise.

9. No Guarantee of Accuracy

We aim to publish useful and carefully prepared research, but we cannot guarantee that all data, charts, calculations, tables, reports, dashboards, or examples are complete, current, accurate, or free from errors.

You should not rely on Marketaxiom as your only source of information.

Before making trading or investment decisions, verify important data with official sources, your broker, your data provider, or a qualified professional.

10. Corrections and Updates

If we find a material error in published data, calculations, charts, or research, we may correct, update, or remove the affected content.

We may also update reports, dashboards, or articles when better or newer data becomes available.

If you notice a possible data issue, you can contact us through the contact page.

11. Research and Education Only

All data and research on Marketaxiom is provided for research and educational purposes only.

Nothing on this website should be treated as financial advice, investment advice, trading advice, tax advice, legal advice, or a personal recommendation to buy, sell, hold, or trade any asset.

You are responsible for your own research, decisions, and risk management.
